Da die letzten Nächte überraschend kalt waren wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass es kein Feuerholz mehr zum käuflichen Erwerb gab. Kein Problem, als alte Hobby-Bushcrafter haben wir Equipment aufgestockt und zogen mit Säge (frisch am Vortag mit der Post gekommen), Beil und Kindern los in den Wald.
Nach getaner Arbeit haben die Männer ein Nickerchen verdient und die Mädelz genug Zeit die Gegend zu erkunden.
Käfer, Schnecken, Spinnen, wie aufregend…
und was ist das? Ein Zelt in der Luft? Ja, in so einem Baumzelt haben Mama und Papa auch schon übernachtet.
Weiter durch das Wäldchen gestreunert landeten wir irgendwann wieder auf dem Spielplatz, ja so ein Zufall…
Dann wurde es Zeit für einen kleinen Snack, den Hefeteig vorzubereiten (der Dutch Oven wird hier nicht geschont) und das Holz zu spalten um das Feuer zu entfachen!
Mit nassem Holz gar nicht so leicht, da braucht es schon etwas länger, was bei Marie auf vollkommenes Unverständnis traf.
Irgendwann brannte es und die Kohlen konnten durchglühen um den Hefezopf zu befeuern, wie aufregend :).
Marie freundete sich in der Zwischenzeit mit Piet an und der Josh entdeckte neben seiner Leidenschaft “Steine” noch FEUER, WOW!!!
Würstchen und Mais auf das Grillrost und Abendessenzeit. Zum Nachtisch natürlich Hefezopf 🙂 und er war hervorragend!
